We collect no personal data whatsoever. Cookjar has no registration and no analytics. We do not gather your name, email, location, contacts, or device identifiers.
All content you create — recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, cooking history, achievements and settings — is processed and stored entirely on your device, solely to make the app work. Nothing is used for any other purpose.
We share nothing, because we hold nothing. If you use the Export or Share feature, you choose exactly where your data goes; that action is entirely under your control.
Your recipes and plans are stored locally using on-device storage (Hive), and app settings are stored using the platform's encrypted secure storage (flutter_secure_storage). Because data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security.
Your data stays on your device until you delete individual items, choose Settings → Clear all data, or uninstall the app — after which it is gone.
Cookjar has no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. You can use every feature without providing any identity.
Cookjar collects no data from anyone, including children under 13. The app contains no ads and no third-party content, making it safe for all ages.
You are always in full control: edit or delete any item, export a full backup, or wipe all data from Settings. No request to us is required because we store none of your information.
Cookjar integrates no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs, and makes no network calls that transmit your data.
Cookjar requests only the INTERNET permission, used solely to display this privacy policy inside the app's WebView. The app is fully functional offline.
Consistent with our Google Play Data Safety declaration: no data is collected and no data is shared. All processing is on-device.
This policy is effective as of 13 July 2026 and was last updated on 13 July 2026. Changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
